The Scottish Wind Assessment Project (SWAP) is an independent research co-operative. It seeks to collate existing studies and conduct new research into claims made for and against wind-generated electricity and into what is an increasingly controversial political background.

Its researchers are volunteers with expertise in a variety of pertinent fields. SWAP policy is generally not to name the authors of or contributors to its reports, partly because some wish to write anonymously but also because they wish their arguments to be judged on their merits.

Its main reports can be found here. SWAP publishes some reports under its own name and others under the aegis of groups or organisations which commissioned or requested it to research particular issues. These are presented here with permission.
